Exec Committee Vacancies

Although delayed while the COVID affected audit is taking place, the Durham County Scouts AGM is approaching. The Executive are looking for some now members.

The County Executive Committee plays a vital role in the oversight and running of the Scout County. Executive Committees make decisions and carry out administrative tasks to ensure that the best quality Scouting can be delivered to young people in the County.

We are keen to broaden the diversity of the County Executive Committee and would actively welcome youth members (aged 18 - 25), female members, members from minority backgrounds and 'grass roots' members with relevant skills and experience in areas such as fund raising and finance, risk management and law, as well as people with the relevant skills and experience from a non-Scouting background.

The AGM will elect up to six members of the County Scout Council (see below) to the County Executive Committee. If you are a member of the County Scout Council and would like to stand for election to the County Executive Committee (or nominate another member) please use the button below.

The County Commissioner, in consultation with the County Chair can also nominate an additional six members to the County Executive Committee. If you would like to be considered for membership of the County Executive Committee but are not a member of the County Scout Council, please email cc@durhamscouts.org.uk
