First Aid Adviser / Team Manager

Can YOU Take the lead on First Aid in the County?

First aid is an essential Skill for Life and is important to both our youth and adult members. We're looking for someone to take the lead in advising on First Aid and to manage the County First Aid Team.

Who Are We?

Durham Scouts offers an adventurous, vibrant and busy programme for more than 6,000 young people aged 6-25 and exciting opportunities for more than 1,400 adults volunteers. We're looking to take our first aid training and support to the next level  - can you help us?

Who Are You?

The role of County First Aid Adviser is varied - you need a good knowledge of first aid as you'll be our 'go-to' person on matters of first aid best practice, including practical training. You'll most likely also enjoy some of the hands-on aspects of first aid.

You'll probably already have some first aid training experience and may have external first aid training qualifications. You'll also posses good leadership, management and organisational skills and be able to work with a team of like-minded volunteers who are similarly interested in and passionate about first aid.

The County First Aid Adviser will be supported by and will manage the County First Aid Team (Scout Active Support Unit) who provide hands-on support for large county events. When it comes to coordinating training, support will also be available from the County Training Manager and County Administrator .
