Awards 2017

Our awards and celebration event will be held on the 16th September 2017 at the Xcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe. All recipients of eligible awards, plus their guests and a leader, will be invited to this prestigious event and will have the opportunity to meet other award recipients and special guests and be presented with their award.

Anyone who receives an eligible award (listed below) between the 24th July 2016 and the 24th July 2017 will be invited.

Tickets & Timings

Awards2016_steverunningEach recipient will receive two guest tickets along with a ticket for a leader from their group. There will be three sessions throughout the day, each focusing on a different award. Parents with two or more children receiving awards should be aware that their children may be allocated to different sessions during the day.

Tickets will be sent by email during the last two weeks of August. Timings for the day are as follows:

  • Chief Scout Bronze Awards - 09:30am (lasting 1.5 hours)
  • Chief Scout Silver Awards (and other Cub awards) - 12:45pm (lasting 1.5 hours)
  • All other awards - 4pm (lasting 2 hours)

In order to allow us to invite eligible recipients to Awards 2017, we need your help throughout the year in identifying recipients from your district, section or group. Please tell us about any recipients throughout the year rather than waiting to the deadline. You do not need to tell us about any awards in the table that are denoted by a *, as the County are automatically told about these and will invite the recipient.
