On this page you'll find all the links to allow you to access our Camp@Home2 events and workshops. Throughout the weekend there will also be:

  • Planned Activities (the Activities Booklet and equipment list will be posted a week before the camp)
  • Pop-Up-Challenges (see the main Camp@Home page, where these will appear)

Note that GREEN workshops were accessible by pre-registration only and registration is now closed.

Friday 31st July

11.30am Magic Balloons, Volcanoes and Lava Lamps Join Leonie Briggs for this LIVE session showing you how to make a magic balloon, a volcano or a 'lava lamp'
11.45am Drumming Workshop Bring or make your own drums and join us for this exciting and energetic drumming workshop via Zoom

 1.00pm Cyber Professional or Cyber Criminal; Which Will You Be? Join PC Gareth Judd and PC Paul Maddison from Northumbria Police Force's North East Regional Special Operations Unit for this LIVE session telling you all about the world of cyber crime.
1.15pm Zendoodling Workshop (1) Zendoodling is the art of drawing designs using structured patterns or 'Zentangles'. When you draw a Zendoodle, you're creating a work of art, but you're also deliberately creating a mood, focus, and state of mind

2.00pm USA/UK Linkup (1) The first of our online Zoom meetings with Scouts from Durham, North Carolina, USA - your chance to find out about Scouting in the USA, and to share you experiences with our American Scouting cousins

2.30pm Paper Aeroplanes and Aviation Join Jenny Haigh for this LIVE session telling you all about the science of aviation - including making your own paper aeroplanes
2.45pm Yoga Workshop An introduction to breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, which is widely practised for health and relaxation. Suitable for children and beginners

3.30pm USA/UK Linkup (2) The second of our online Zoom meetings with Scouts from Durham, NC, USA. This will be an online sciences based session presented by US Scout leaders, with US and UK Scouts.

4.00pm Science Story Time Join Susannah Salter LIVE, to hear some fascinating and true stories from the world of science
4.15pm Fire Building Workshop Anyone can make a flame - but the real skills is building a sustainable fire which can be used for heat, light, cooking and companionship - even in the wet!

3.00pm Bloodhound - Breaking the Land Speed Record Watch some great videos all about the Bloodhound Team's attempt on the work land speed record and join Rob Bennett in a live Q+A to ask your questions on this exciting project
