St George’s Day Celebration

Join us on 23rd April, to Celebrate our Patron Saint and our Scout Values

Although St George's Day parades, services and celebrations are usually held within districts, given our current unusual circumstances this year we're organising a county wide St Georges Day Celebration - online.

We're welcoming all beavers, cubs, scouts, explorers, scout network members, adult volunteers and their families to join us online.

  • Date: 23rd April 2020
  • Time: 6.30pm - 7.15pm
  • Please wear your uniform

This will be an interactive session where we'll be running an on-line quiz to find out how much you really know about St George. We'll also be asking you to share what you've been doing over the last few weeks to help other people and there will be an opportunity for all of our members to renew their Scout Promise. During the on-line celebration we'll be telling you all about "St George - the man and the myth" and why he was chosen as the Patron Saint of Scouts.

We hope that you'll stay in uniform and join the millions of people across the country - including hundreds of thousands of Scouts - in the 8pm 'clap for carers', making as much noise as possible to say thank you to all those people who are taking care of us during these unusual times.
