Programme Support for our Youth Sections

In these pages you will find all the information you need to support the delivery of first class programmes for our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members.

This includes links to the national Scout Association website (freely accessible to our youth members and their parents) and resources for our adult leaders and supporters such as programme, sleepover and days-out ideas, risk assessments etc (login needed).

Programme Support Meetings

The dates of all sectional Programme Support meetings are in the County Calendar, and the 2017 dates are as follows:

  • 10th May 2017
  • 6th September 2017
  • 6th December 2017

All meetings are held at 7pm at Moor House Adventure Centre and ususally consist of an all-sections update before splitting into section specfic meetings to discuss section specific topics and issues, programme ideas, challenges and opportunities and County events. All section Leaders from across the County are welcome.

Programme Exchange Workshops

Note that the County will be holding 2 x 1 day Programme Exchange Workshops on 20th and 21st October 2017. Bookings are not yet open, but will be available to all Leaders from the Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer Scout sections to share programme ideas and swap programmes, to swap ideas for days out and nights away and share new games.
