Durham Scout County are looking for a number of lead volunteers to continue our development and growth in a number of exciting and rewarding roles - people who can lead, support and inspire our volunteers, give our young people a voice and ensure that we continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our young people and their communities.

... Can provide, motivation and guidance to a team of 125 volunteers? District Commissioner (Houghton-le-spring district) We’re currently looking for a District Commissioner. This is a management role, and we need someone who can provide
leadership, motivation and guidance to our other adult volunteers.
A large part of this role involves supporting managers of local Groups. For any adult volunteer in Scouting, their manager
will be a regular point of call for support.
You don’t need any prior experience of Scouting to apply for this role: we’ll make sure you’re fully trained and supported
... Can provide, motivation and guidance to a team of 100 volunteers? District Commissioner (Sunderland) We’re currently looking for a District Commissioner. This is a management role, and we need someone who can provide
leadership, motivation and guidance to our other adult volunteers.
A large part of this role involves supporting managers of local Groups. For any adult volunteer in Scouting, their manager
will be a regular point of call for support.
You don’t need any prior experience of Scouting to apply for this role: we’ll make sure you’re fully trained and supported.
... Can provide, motivation and guidance to a team of 30 volunteers? District Commissioner (Crook & Weardale) We’re currently looking for a District Commissioner following over 10 years of leadership by Alan Mangles. This is a
management role, and we need someone who can provide leadership, motivation and guidance to our other adult
volunteers.
A large part of this role involves supporting managers of local Groups. For any adult volunteer in Scouting, their manager
will be a regular point of call for support.

... Can lead programme support for our 18 to 25 year olds? Assistant County Commissioner (Scout Network)

Are you someone that can drive and support inspiring programme for our 18 to 25 year old members? Do you have a passion, knowledge and enthusiasm for Scout Network? Can your skills and experience help deliver #skillsforlife and what that means to Durham Scouts? As part of a supportive County Team, our Scout Network Lead will work with key adult volunteers in districts and other members of Scout Network to support and maintain high-quality engaging programme, support the achievement and celebration of top awards and be the main point of contact and communication for the section as we prepare more young people with skills for life.
